Working Policies & Procedures

Hours

Our normal client hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and 8:30 a.m to 3:00 p.m. Fridays. Employees should be at work during this time. Flexible time can sometimes be arranged for individuals who find these hours difficult to keep. Employees who will be late for work or are ill are expected to provide as much notice as possible.

Lunch and work breaks—We do not observe formal work breaks or lunch hours. We anticipate that employees will take a quarter-hour morning and afternoon break, and a half-hour mid-day lunch break. These can be taken at the employee’s discretion.

Factor1 Fridays

On the first and third friday of each month, we do nothing. Take that 3 day weekend, enjoy some down time.

Flex hours

We arent dead set in the working the dedicated office hours. If you have something that will occupy a few hours of your day, or need to leave early one day, no need to take personal vacation time, if you can make up the hours. We use Harvest to track the hours. We are shooting for a monthly average of around 34 hours per week. You can flex some time here and there to offset a half day or even a full day of time away.

This is a work in process, but so far it’s been well used, appreciated and keeps us all accountable to time worked in times of shifting schedules.

Sexual and other forms of harassment

We do not tolerate sexual or other harassment. If you feel these conditions exists, contact the President immediately.

Nondisclosure, noncompete, software use policy

Projects and client information are not to be discussed or taken outside the company. All employees are required to sign a noncompete agreement prohibiting them from working independently on assignments for current or potential clients for a period of six months after leaving the company. No company software may be copied, or new software employed, without the President’s permission.
